We are seeking to use endogenous transposons to provide new cultivars for New Zealand Horticulture and develop important functional genomics resources for the scientific community.

New Zealand Horticulture and Agriculture face significant challenges to maintain sustainable and economic production into the 21st century and beyond. Genetic improvement, utilising cutting edge genomics and molecular solutions, is critical to meeting these challenges. We are focused on using our expertise in molecular genetics and genomics to produce platform technologies that provide phenotypic variation to important horticultural species. This platform technology will also assist researchers to address pressing issues facing our horticultural industries
